MIYA

Ami, I hear you, everything is in order, I managed to grab the handrail…

YUTO

Did you feel it too?

RYUX

Indeed… We were saved by the analytical calculation of the cyber-physical system of our helmets.

YUTO

The impulse signal worked on time. I don’t know what

would have happened, if it weren’t for the warning system, I would have been hurt by a hard collision with the submarine’s hull.

AMI

It’s good that we didn’t say goodbye to life…

MIYA

Right now, focus and listen to me, you must act quickly! Ami, run out of the battle bubble into the fuel bay,

and fill the expendable fuel tank with all the remaining fuel, Yuto, run to help Ami in the fuel bay and be there in 10 seconds! Recheck fuel tanks for damage. Then

quickly run out of this compartment together, you only have three minutes to do it!

AMI

Perfectly understood!

YUTO

Got it, ma’am!

Only Miya realized at that moment in what a predicament everyone is. Lunniva received numerous injuries, the worst of which was a hole in the fuel bay, which was only a matter of time before the compartment was completely flooded. At the submarine, the fuel indicator tells her about the occupancy figure of 23% out of 100%. She knew that even with the draining of all the remaining individual fuel tanks, the figure would increase to 57%. She thought it would be a miracle if they had enough fuel for the return trip… Miya couldn’t tell everyone about it right away, no matter how much she wanted to. The reason for this was external environmental problems. Putting the submarine into an emergency speed mode factor, she immediately begins to control Lunniva, swimming between falling branches, vegetation, ocean creatures, and fragments of building that fell to the bottom of the ocean. In parts, they rise up repeatedly due to several whirlpools because of many cataclysms formed near the location of the Island. There was nothing left but to break forward, as far as possible from the zone of whirlpools. With the best effort left to her, Miya calculates the angle of the direction, gains the necessary speed and with incredible concentration controls and sails through the terrible obstacles in her path. During her actions, Ryux, who happened to be nearby, realizes the reasons why Miya does this, and for his part contacts Ami and Yuto.

RYUX

Yuto and Ami, both of you have one minute left,

if you filled up the feed-tank and checked the cisterns, then quickly run out of the compartment.

YUTO

The fuel cisterns are fine, none of them damaged.

AMI

We almost filled up the tank with all available fuel. Close the valves and we’re running!

Yuto and Ami run out of the fuel bay together. At the same time, Miya forgets this important moment, as she is involved in a completely different matter. Ryux next to her at the control bay sees the two of them running out of the fuel bay. Then he immediately enters digital data and executes the command for the automated closing of the reinforced concrete door of this compartment. The door gradually moving out of the hull and mechanically closes. The entire fuel bay is flooded with water due to major damage in the hull area. Miya manages to escape on Lunniva from the zone of dangerous cataclysms. Exhaling heavy air from her lungs, she sticks to her chosen course, puts the submarine into auto mode, and realizes that she can finally distract herself from the past process. Finally, turning her gaze to the side, she only now notices Ryux. With a moment of fear for herself, she remembers that forgot to do something important… However, Ryux runs up to her and with a sharp movement wraps her in his arms, and says:

RYUX

We dealt with the fuel, and closed the compartment in time. Everything is fine.

At the same time, Ami and Yuto run into the control bay. Some with wild laughter and some with tears in their eyes. Both hit in a team embrace. Successfully overcoming a cruel danger, leaving it far behind, gives each of the divers an even stronger hope for saving themselves. Those 15 happy minutes when you don’t have to think about anything else. Being next to each other, with your own team. Getting the very necessary moral support that was so important in those moments… Next, come the emotions of realizing their current situation, since everyone knows that it’s still necessary to return back to Yokohamin.

Chapter 16 – In the last frontier of those unbearable suffering

MIYA

I’m glad it’s all right now. I was very worried about you and understood that I had taken a big risk over the past half hour. If I made a mistake, one miscalculation, in the end I would have paid with our lives…

AMI

We are all incredibly lucky to have you, it would

not have been possible without you. Yes, you are just

like my light from the sparks of an exploding bomb

in this fucking abyss.

RYUX

Yeah-yeah, Ami is right. In those terrible moments, your light and image was just like the most magnificent salute in the history of mankind!

YUTO

You were so amazingly passionate that you captured the spirit of each of us in an infinite percentage.

MIYA

Thank you for these dear words to my heart, without your support I wouldn’t have coped, I value each of you! Nonetheless, we are still in a dire position. Lunniva gradually rises to the surface, and sails back to the intended course, the amount of filled fuel in percentage equivalent is 53. On the way back, a much larger percentage is required, at least 77, and only then we could stop a couple of kilometers from the port of Yokohamin…

RYUX

As soon as we rise to the surface, then we will send

a signal for assist to the Nemelides agency. We need to

enquire them to send a rescue team to meet us in any

of the high-speed modes of transport…

AMI

Dr. Otto mentioned that after completing the mission, our group should contact him as soon as we get a chance!

YUTO

There is nothing left, we must make every remaining effort to reach the very end.

Lunniva rises to the surface: 4000 meters, 2000 meters, 1000 meters, 100 meters… Finally, the moment comes when the upper part of the submarine appears on the surface, having emerged from the deep abyss of ocean waters. The system equipment in the control bay issues many signals of critical level of damage in different compartments. While Ryux, Ami and Yuto are at the control point to disassemble and block critical level errors, Miya climbs into the cabin of the submarine, and from there sends out a signal for help via a cyber-radio device:

MIYA

Miumiya Kinsmin is in touch, I am the manager

of the Lunniva submarine, and one of the survivors of the global operation to destroy a particularly dangerous natural disaster – the floating Island of Shunevo. We have successfully managed to deal with natural disasters in

our path, and prevent a full-blown threat. As you can hear me, our group urgently needs help. Send any of the high-speed modes of transport to the track coordinates of the movement of our submarine that I sent. We are in

a critical situation due to numerous damages in the compartments. Lunniva will not have enough fuel for the return trip… Nemelides, right now we hope and believe

in your immediate support!

Having intercepted the signal for help, the Nemelides agency immediately sent their high-speed development – a catamaran cyber-ferry codenamed Spirit of Electro-Yoko, to meet them at the reported coordinates. With one more effort, the diving team overcomes their last frontier. After 8 minutes, a rescue team on a catamaran cyber-ferry meets them. Helping each of the four to transfer to the catamaran, they leave the submarine behind. On the way back to Yokohamin, Nemelides agents reported by radio about a new, modified landing site, which was blocked and classified from the huge crowd and the news press. A day later, four divers on behalf of the Nemelides agency prepared a report that describes in detail all the events that happened to them during the mission. After reviewing the report by the government, each of the four divers was invited to the official broadcast in the central tele-radio company. The four are awarded the title of heroes for the salvation of humanity at the world level, followed by the provision of material support from the state throughout their lives. In memory of the dead, the Lunniva memorial complex was erected. Huge golden sculptures of all team members were made in a closed building. Along with the sculptures one could notice a gallery of joint and memorable photographs.
