Chapter 11 – There is only silence in the distance
Enraged, Nayu runs away from Ryux. Without noticing it herself, under her emotions, she runs down a long corridor, where at the very end a divarication appeared in front of her in three directions, due to circumstances she turns right and runs further, leaving Ryux far behind. After a while the corridor began to narrow, not noticing the ledge, Nayu slips on the sticky mud, unsuccessfully hitting her head against the wall, losing consciousness and moving down to the very bottom, she finds herself in a disgusting, vile basement.
Ryux became worried, and remained with him the hope that Nayu would return soon, he waited for her in the alchemy room for a certain time, but quite a lot of time passed, and she never came. After finding the electric laser tool and burning out the metal door of a small room, Ryux abandons Miya’s idea to search this room, and decides to go in search of Nayu running into a long corridor without waiting for any of his team. Ryux was faced with a choice between three paths, in his desire to consider each of them, but the feeling of anxiety did not leave him. At that moment, he thought, why can’t I just split up and go in three directions at once: forward, right and left. In his thoughts was to consider all the places where these three paths lead. Having called out Nayu, in response he heard only silence and nothing more. In a hurry, deciding to turn left, he finds himself in an empty room.
In contrast, the whole wall of the room was painted with a huge, beautifully and neatly executed drawing of a mutated ocean monster, which the scientists of the center recreated as a result of the experiment. Something with a big tale like a mermaid, an elongated crocodile body, with a fish head and a swollen face, puffy sagging cheeks like a frog, eyes black as darkness, thin as a blade, long and sharp teeth, like knives sticking out of its mouth. The whole drawing is painted with gouache of different colors. In the same second Ryux says:

Taking a closer look, Ryux noticed a button in the wall, which was very well hidden under the sketch of the monster’s eye. With a strange mystique and uncontrollable randomness that has taken over him, Ryux stumbles and falls against the wall. Inadvertently pressing the button, he felt that done something terrible. A moment later, somewhere in the distance, he heard the sounds of merging water, a sharp, fast sound, like tsunami surging from the waters of the ocean. The sounds were heard from another room. While listening, it seems that they are not far away…
Ryux in a hurry returns back to the fork and turns right, running a little further, he noticed how the corridor was narrowed in front of him and saw a footprint from Nayu’s shoes on the ground. He immediately realized that she had slipped and landed in that dark trigger hole in which there was no end in sight. Having tried to call out to her several times, but to no avail, trying to calm down and listen, he thought he heard the groans of her voice that came from the other side. Ryux understood that it was dangerous to drive down this pit, he might be mistaken that it was really her, rather a figment of his imagination. There was one more path leading directly to the sounds of raging water. Without hesitation for a long time, he ran to the source of the sound.
The blood from the blows dried up over time, waking up with a sore head and in a semi-conscious state, Nayu hears the sounds of surging water outside the door. Getting to her feet, Nayu tries to unlock the wooden door with the help of power kicks, but this venture is not successful. However, next to her in the room there were shelves attached to the walls on which all sorts of rubbish was located like empty broken cans, several intact inside with various liquids and floating limbs of living beings. Among all the things, Nayu finds an iron beam, pointed at the end, hanging next to the shelf, taking it, she manages to demolish the door in some rotten places, after which she finally knocks it out. Going outside and lowering her head down, what she saw plunged her into a fear, a few meters from the room below everything was filled with ocean water. In her thoughts there was an awareness of further uncertainty, a hopeless situation and no desire to jump and dive under water to move on. After resting and gathering her willpower into a fist, she jumps into the water and swims back along the same path that she remembered.
At the same time, Ryux had already run to the source of the sound, and noticed that the entire area below him was filled with water, it was clear that there was no other entrance, he would have to pack up and swim ahead in search of Nayu. Jumping into the water and swimming through the central path chosen by him that caught his eye, he had a specific task to persistently finding her and getting out of the trap of this Shunevo center together.
Having reached the air pocket, she realizes that her strength is at the limit, trying to send a signal for help through the cyber suit system, but to no avail, the network at the lower level is completely blocked, this venture was unsuccessful. Then she remembered that the suit has cyber fins, calling them through the command, she uses them to swim much faster to the next point of the air pocket. Diving under the water, she hoveringly notices the silhouette of something or someone approaching her. Having swum to the next air pocket, emerging and quickly taking in air, she dives again and sees Ryux in front of her, who scared her to goosebumps. Nayu’s voice sounded almost exhausted. Having gathered, they dive once again to swim to the next air pocket, but they see in front of them the same monster that Ryux saw in the drawing of the empty center room. Having quickly swooped down on Nayu, the monster tears off her leg with its powerful paws and biting her neck, it drags her in the opposite direction. Ryux, numb with horror, tries to injure the monster with a cyber knife, catching the right moment, but in vain. Then he realized that Nayu could no longer be saved. It remained only to swim forward and with all the forces that he had left. Swimming through the last air pockets, he noticed how a monster from afar was gradually swimming over his soul… Ami, Miya, Kize and Yuto notice that both Ryux and Nayu are not in the small room.
MIYA
HELL NO! DEVIL, DID THAY…
Kize was the first to run towards the long corridor.
MIYA

At the same moment, Miya fires a hydro-rifle, hitting the monster right in the head, breaking through it, with bruised brains, it falls right into the water, but clinging with a stranglehold, it drags the killed Kize behind it into the grave of the ocean. Miya breaks down, crying with all her might and trying to escape from the Yuto’s hands that holding her, who also with a torn wound on his heart, can hardly cope with his emotions. Ami, holding the barely standing Ryux, gently falls with him, laying his head on her knees, and for about 8 minutes she cries with Miya, feeling the terrible pain of the loss of her native comrades.
Chapter 12 – A decision on the verge of despair
Soon, after 10 minutes later, a strong earthquake began. The four divers could clearly hear the scrunching of the Island’s roots, which had rapidly grown due to mutations. Huge roots quickly broke and grew again with a very loud sound, similar to the crackling of coals near a lit fire. The walls of the research center started to gradually collapse, so the comrades made an immediate decision to run out of the building as quickly as possible. During their run, they see how enormous roots pierce the ceiling and walls of a long corridor behind them. Having reached the alchemy room, they noticed a completely destroyed floor in front of them and several giant roots sticking out of it, furthermore below the floor a raging water of the ocean, into which none of them wanted to fall…
